EXERCISES FOR ALL SEASONS: Chi Circulation
Qualities of chi circulation, snow-filled lake, front view - 01/24/11 (Winter) Throughout this video, I am using various arm movements and gestures to point out important aspects of successful chi circulation. While doing these movements, I experience all of these sensations: - I begin each deep breathing routine by INHALING AIR THROUGH MY NOSE. This action (unlike inhaling air through my mouth) stimulates the production of NITRIC OXIDE in my nasal cavities. My article at this URL details the wide ranging effects of nitric oxide throughout the human body www.youtube.com - Deep breathing routines always involve some form of ABDOMINAL BREATHING. During "natural breathing," my abdomen expands during an inhalation, and contracts during an exhalation; during "reverse breathing," my abdomen contracts during an inhalation, and expands during an exhalation. - As my abdomen expands and contracts, REPRODUCTIVE ENERGY / "CHING" spreads upward from the sexual region toward my abdominal tan-tien and combines with the oxygen being circulated throughout my body. - Abdominal breathing generates a WARM INNER GLOW in my abdominal tan-tien region. This warm glow spreads outward from my center to my peripheries. I cup my hands in front of my abdominal tan-tien, as if warming my hands in front of a stove that is radiating heat outwards. - When my hands radiate this warm glow, I also feel a kind of ELECTRO-MAGNETIC PUSH/PULL FEELING between them, as if my hands are two magnets that are pulling ...
