--2 month update --- We still use the Makita LXT Blower on a (almost) daily basis. My wife loves to use it to blow off the steps in our garage. It is the useful rechargeable tool we have ever purchased. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I was somewhat skeptical when I ordered the Makita LXT Blower. I was worried that my 1.5aH battery would not fit or even if it did it wouldn't power the blower. I was also worried that even at full power that something this small wouldn't be up to the job - mainly blowing out my garage and cleaning the grass of my sidewalk. The Answers - - While the 1.5aH battery is not optimal (although I do have two from my Makita LCT300W 18-Volt Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless 3-Piece Combo Kit set), but it does work well enough. The main issue is that the battery life is about 3-5 minutes on the blower's highest setting. However, 4 minutes will blow a lot of grass off of your sidewalks). - Plenty of power - IF you are blowing on smooth surfaces. If you are planning to use this to blow your leaves into a giant pile you will be disappointed. - Ultra light - less than 5lbs - Pull-the-trigger easy - this is what really attracted me to the Makita LXT Blower since about 75% of my clean-up jobs are simple and do not require my gas powered blower. It is great to have the option to grab a light-weight blower and have the job done within a couple of minutes. - The Makita blower can be converted into a vacuum - but the ...

mad tomato update

The small one is a clone that rooted about 7/8 weeks ago. Its just started to shew some encouragement this week. I remember last years when i changed the light cycle from 12/12 to 24/7 started shewing these extraordinary leaves that just didnt look like they came from a tomato at all ! Please contact me if you have had a similr experience. This small one seems to have been going through that stage for the last 4 weeks and has hardly grown at all. Its just the last couple of days that its improved. At this stage last time the small one had leaves the size of cabbage leaves at this stage but it was under a 600w light 24/7 The larger one was given to me and was originally in soil. I washed off most of the soil immediately and its been in the bubbler for around 3/4 weeks now. At first it didnt like the change at all and I wondered if I had bolloxed up the nutrients (the soil it was in before may have been fairly rich, I reckon) I bumped it up with 1 cap full of Advance Hydroponics mix (organic) 1, 2 and two caps of No 3. There is about 15 litres of water (Which just to be on the safe side, i boiled first to get rid of the chlorine and obviously let it cool down before using it.) I havent got a ph metre so i cant give you what the level is, all I can say is its improved so much I have decided to call it Lazarus (exceppt Lazza was a chico and im hoping for a muchacha. Join the Douglas brothers as they are forced to watch the second in a series of unfortunate films, Space Camp. Space Camp is a 6 day program for 9 to 11 year olds. Space Camp the movie however, consists of children aging from 8 to 25 years old and lasts for what seems like a lifetime! Andie Bergstorm (Kate Capshaw - Steven Spielberg's wife) is the latest victim of NASA's apparent mediocre astronaut standards, because instead of being chosen to go to the moon, she is chosen to head Space Camp! What a blow! But don't worry Andie, we never went to the moon anyhow. A very bitter, very bra-less Kate Capshaw then ensues to make the new Space Cadets lives a living hell, well not really, I mean she is kind of an ass. After the five minutes of tough love that would make any episode of Full House look like Full Metal Jacket, Andie and the little space campers are shot into space, an apparent accident in the eyes of NASA, but actually the result of a malfunctioning robot named JINX, go figure? Space Camp has got it all: Space, Camp, Science, Scientologists, Real Actors, and Joaquin Phoenix. Can Leah Thompson, Kelly Preston, Kate Capshaw, Leaf Pheonix, and that black guy from Revenge of the Nerds, with the help of Tom Skerritt, band together and resolve there differences in the vacuum of space, or are they space dust?
